“Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet” (Facebook, 2012).

Our overview provides an insight into the features available to Facebook users and information on how to use these features. Our analysis also explores the history, demographic and geographic adoptions of Facebook, and the topic of privacy. We have also analysed how Facebook differs from other notable social network sites such as Twitter and MySpace.

*please note: we recommend logging into facebook before clicking on our link, if you have a facebook account. We also recommend scrolling to the bottom of the page, and working your way up, as we intended the presentation to be viewed in chronological order.*
